I’m Nicola and I am a fun loving and busy mummy of a one year old little monster called Charlie. We live with my partner and Charlie’s daddy, Paul on the Yorkshire coast and love nothing more than county walks, playing on the beach and trips to the local play farm.

The day I found out that the monster and I had been selected to review the beautiful Britax B-AGILE for Pushchair Trader I was actually out shopping with my best friend for her wedding dress. What was an amazing day for her turned out to be one for me too and we both headed to the posh cafe to ‘celebrate’. I know I really wanted to lie then and say the pub but unfortunately as we had the kids in tow so this wasn’t an option. Anyway there is nothing like celebrating with a creamy hot chocolate and a big slab of chocolate fudge cake is there?
The lovely Pushchair Trader team contacted me to arrange delivery and yet again that buzz of excitement hit me and I yabbered on and on to anybody that would listen that the Bitax B-AGILEwas on its way. Honestly even my own mum is sick of me talking about it but then again she doesn’t share my pushchair obsession.
I arranged to have the special parcel delivered to work as I knew that there would definitely be somebody there to sign for it. There was no way on earth that I could wait another day if I accidentally missed the postman. So I sat waiting at home until the phone call came to say that it had arrived safely and was waiting to be inspected. At about 1 o’clock I got the eagerly awaited text but I had to sit twiddling my thumbs for 2 hours until it was time for my shift. After 5 minutes of twiddling I decided that the only way to pass the time would be to scrub the house from top to bottom. We have never had such a clean house, which has made Paul fall in love with the B-AGILE too. Apparently if the house looks like that every time we get a new pushchair then I can have more! I think I might hold him to that one. I arrived at work 15 minutes early and believe me I am never early for anything, I like to think that I’m always fashionably late but my best friend has other opinions on that.
I was so excited to open the little box and take a sneak peek inside and when I did I was delighted to see that we had been sent the Chilli Pepper coloured B-AGILE to review. I already have two black prams and my pram room, *cough cough* I mean porch, needed brightening up a bit.
So what’s in the box?
Well the box is tiny so tiny in fact that when Charlie tried to crawl in it he got stuck and he is only little. You would be right in thinking that it’s like Marry Poppins Handbag as you pull piece after piece out.
In that tiny box there is:
A hood/canopy
Wheels x 2
Car seat adapters
A Rain cover
An instruction manual
Firstly I pressed open the grey safety catch to open out the frame. The frame opened out within a couple of seconds and clicked securely into place. This locking catch is brilliant as when you fold the pushchair down it locks into place and keeps the frame securely closed. No longer will I pray that my pushchair doesn’t decide to fling open and scratch the paintwork of my car as I try to haul it in to the boot.
Next I popped the hood on. The hood attaches by clicking the rod in at either side of the seat unit and takes all of 2 seconds to do. I then secured the material of the hood using the handy Velcro strips on the pushchair frame. Finally I clicked the wheels into place which was quick and easy to do and hey presto one beautiful looking Britax B-AGILE was formed.
One thing that makes this pushchair a little different for the Baby Jogger is its safety button. The pushchair can’t be folded until a little grey button on the side of the frame is pressed in and up. This ensures that the pushchair can’t accidentally fold with your little one in it. Once the button has been pressed you simply take hold of the strap in the middle of the seat and pull. The pushchair instantly folds in half and secures itself closed with the grey safety catch.19/12/2011 - Arrgghh Christmas Shopping
I braved the hell that is Christmas shopping with the Britax B-Agile today.I was pleasantly surprised how nimble the B-Agile was and I only ran into the back of one person which is amazing for me!
28/12/11 - Country Walks
We decided to avoid the madness of sale shopping and head into the woodland for a wintry walk. Whilst Charlie loves to walk the thought of having to carry him after he has fallen face down in the mud was not one I was going to entertain so the Britax B-Agile came with us. It handled the bumpy woodland with ease and my only problem was putting it back into the car with dirty wheels. The front wheel unclip in a couple of seconds but the back wheels don't and as they fold onto the back apron it made a bit of a mess! It's a good job it's pushchair cleaning day.
02/01/12- Check out our funky B-Agile
10/01/12 - Lovely walk on the beach
We took the B-Agile for a lovely walk across the seafront today and I must admit that it handled the sand and cobbles brilliantly and more importantly my monsters was comfortable throughout. The gorgeous looking pushchair got a fair few comments as did the funky foot muff.
16/01/12- It's the niggly things
It's no secret that I love the B-Agile but there are a couple of niggly bits that are beginning to irritate me. Firstly the mechanism to incline the seat is still quite difficult and secondly the basket is fairly low and can catch when trying to get up and down high kerbs when carrying a heavy load. It doesn't stop me from loving it though!
24/01/12- I'm back in love
Whilst my last post may have seemed negative the B-Agile has more than made up for it's niggly problems this week! For the first time ever monster actually asked to get in his pram- he must be comfortable and love it just as much as me.
We went for a little stroll to see how the B-Agile handled the winter wonderland that seemed to appear from nowhere. Whilst it;s safe to say that this stroller isn't made for deep snow it managed pretty well in the more compact stuff!16/02/12- Time to clean
Like all well used pushchairs the B-Agile is in need of a deep spring clean. So the hood and wheels are coming off and the warm soapy water is heading in- I'll let you know how we get on.
22/02/12 -And the sparkle returns!
After it's thorough deep clean the beautiful B-Agile is once again sparkling and looks as good as when it first arrived. I have fallen deeply back in love with the fire engine red stunner.
