First Impressions
Wow! I get home from work to find that my pushchair has been delivered and that dad has put it together for me. It was easy to put together (apparently) – the wheels just clicked on and then the choice of attaching the seat or the car seat.
There were no instructions in the box – but we managed to work it out as it is pretty self explanatory.
The seat unit slots onto the pushchair and you can have it parent facing or facing the world! You can change it really easily as you just squeeze the buttons in and it releases then switch it around.
I took Michael for a walk to our friends to try the pushchair out. It is fairly light considering it looks quite bulky and was easy to bump down our front steps to get to the path.

It was a dream to push and I love the way it looks. The only downside is that I didn’t get sent a rain cover (have spoken to Pushchair Trader and they have got it there so will be sending it to me ASAP.) – these are included in the pushchairs that I have seen for sale.
One happy mummy so far! One happy child too – Michael loves it!
So I have been at work since my pushchair arrived and apart from trialling it out on the first evening I haven’t used it!
Get home from work and decide to go to the shops delivering leaflets for the half marathon we are doing for Cancer Research.
Fitted foot muff – Michael looks nice and cosy. Doesn’t quite stay at the top when he moves – almost could do with a bit of Velcro to attach to the pushchair to stay in place.
Typically it rained whilst we were out – and we don’t have the rain cover yet. Pulled foot muff up and hood over him and it kept him dry and pushchair didn’t get too wet. As the material isn’t absorbent.
Still loving it!
August the 18th 2012
So we decide to go out in the car today. The pushchair doesn’t seem to fold in the parent facing mode – which is a slight pain as I like having him facing me so we can have a chat! It does fold fairly well when the seat is the other way round – but I have decided it is easier to take it apart to fold. I had thought that this would annoy me – but actually it is so easy to take the seat off and put back on that it is fine!
Here is a picture showing how much room my old Graco Illusion travel system takes up. Followed by how much room the Evo takes up. Evo takes up much less room and you can put stuff on top of the seat and under it if you had lots to take and not a big boot. As it happens I have a massive boot.
August the 19th 2012
We decided to pop out for a drive to the shops .Michael fell asleep in the car on the way in. I managed to get him into the Evo without a problem and he stayed asleep. I will admit that while he was asleep he looked like he filled the pushchair – so wonder how long it would last and I don’t think I have a tall baby.
August the 20th - 25th 2012
I have been busy working most of the week so the Evo has been in the boot. We ventured out to a BBQ on a farm and the Evo managed well on the stone path up to the field and across the field. The field was dry and uneven and it did cope quite well. However I would not be so sure if it was muddy!
August the 26th 2012
We had a christening today and were running late. Michael was overtired too. Piled the EVO in the car and set off to the church.
Michael was asleep by the time we got there. Whipped out wheels and snapped seat on in seconds. I had him parent facing, note for future not a good plan when asleep. I moved the middle bar across so out of the way but still had to manoeuvre through the handle bar.
He slept throughout the ceremony and we slotted the pushchair easily up the end of the aisle.
August the 27th 2012
We popped shopping to restock our freezer. Went out with just the EVO in the boot came back with lots more!
We
managed to fit it all in and with a bit better packing - instead of
hubby chucking it in we would have had more space left in the boot! Really handy that the seat comes off for stacking the car!
August the 29th 2012
Dad had Michael today. He keeps commenting on how much he likes the EVO.
His only complaint was having not been shown how to use the pushchair it took him a while to work out how to recline it!
He loves that it is easy to push and means he can safely take Michael and his dog Toby out for walks!
It
is also so much lighter than our other pushchair which means it can be
lifted in and out of our house (we have steps) instead of bumping up the
steps.
September the 1st 2012
Hubby and I went to London to watch Wicked. My dad had Michael and my nephew Kian (7 years).
Dad
took both kids out and his dog Toby to visit my nan. Kian wanted to
push so dad let him. Kian managed to push all the way up to nans
(excluding crossing roads) and commented on how easy the pushchair is to
push! As its so light!
So no worries on how heavy it is to push!
September the 2nd 2012
Michael in the EVO marshalling at Bridgwaters Half Marathon that Gavin organised.
Colour of pushchair meant he stood out when marshalling with his auntie Tracey.
September the 5th 2012
Just realised that the EVO won't fold up and clip in unless the wheels
are lined up. This could prove annoying. I had to pull back up and start
again.
If it was raining or I was in a hurry I would of bundled in the boot unclipped!
September the 7th 2012
We accompanied mum to school to pick up my little sisters (Indee 7 and Jaya 6)
I already had the raincover in the basket and easily had room for the two school bags and lunch boxes and my change bag.
My sisters were fighting over who could push it home and were both saying how much they loved it.
September the 10th 2012
We went out for an evening stroll so decided to use the foot muff.
Now
I maybe being thick but I so far hate it! I threaded the straps through
lifted Michael into pushchair and the thing moved. It was then really
difficult to pull it up with Michael sat in it and so far caused me
nothing but trouble!
My other Graco had a hole and you threaded top through and Velcro to attach. This would benefit from the same.
I need to persevere as I'm bound to get the hang of it as so far I've used a blanket ever since!!
September the 12th & 13th 2012
My father in law and sister in law had Michael for both of these days.
I dropped him off with the pushchair in forward facing mode and forgot to give any instructions on its use.
They
both commented on how easy it is to push. They managed to fold it up,
which shows how easy it is as my sister in law can never fold my other
one up without instruction!
Apparently the rain cover is super easy to fit (I have been lucky and haven't used it YET!!) It took them seconds to put on.
Sister in law loves it and says she wants one in the future when she has kids!
September the 15th 2012
We had Michael's swimming lesson and did some shopping before and after.
When we got home Gavin's boot was full up. We got the wheels out of the car and loaded up the shopping to push round to the front door.
Unconventional use but saved lots of time.
Once finished we folded the wheels up and it stood nicely in the hallway.
September the 17th 2012
I decided to put the liner of the foot muff on the pushchair to see if it stayed in place.
Michael
had fallen asleep by the time I arrived in town. So I reclined the
pushchair and the liner did stay in place while I put him in the
pushchair.
I don't think Michael will be able to sleep in the EVO
comfortably for too much longer as he fills the whole pushchair and
he's not yet 2.
September the 19th 2012
We went to Bournemouth for the day to visit my sister in law who was staying there.
The
EVO got sand and sausage roll in the main seat and flipping it upside
down and taking the liner off appears to have worked. So no need to
hover it!
September the 20th 2012
As the EVO is so light it means that I can easily get it down my dads
drive. His drive is completely chippings and I have never been able to
get a pushchair down the drive.
If I pull the EVO with the front wheels raised then it easily comes down the drive.
Means no struggling to carry the pushchair across the drive!
September the 21st 2012
Michael marshalling at Cancer Research Zumbathon that we were involved in.
The picture is when we were directing people, he also did some dancing sat in the EVO too!!
September the 22nd 2012
We went to Animal Farm to meet Bob The Builder.
As mentioned earlier the EVO pushes well on stones. Not too bumpy a ride.
The EVO as ever was lovely to push and pushed well on the stones or the grass.
Michael even had a go at pushing the pushchair! He's a bit too small! Also Michael enjoyed his picnic sat in the EVO.

Fab day out had by all.
September the 26th 2012
So I get my first opportunity to use the rain cover when it absolutely chucks it down! No warning!
Thankfully it is always kept in the basket.
I quickly put it on and it didn’t look right or fit properly at all.
I was worried that I didn’t have the correct rain cover after looking at the picture that the other reviewer had posted.
Anyway it kept him dry and I am going to look at it again to see where I am going wrong!
September the 28th 2012
The time has approached where Bridgwater
Fair has arrived in town! Last year we ventured up West Street with all
the stalls – but Michael was asleep and only 8 months old – so that is
as far as we went!
This year we knew Michael would love the rides after a trip to Butlins in the summer.
The
pushchair was fine visiting the stalls as it is on a main road (that is
closed). The fair field was surprisingly hard underfoot considering the
rain we had!
The EVO pushed fantastically around the field on a range of surfaces – from grass, compacted mud, gravel.
Here is a picture of the EVO on the field whilst Michael was on the Helter Skelter with his Godmother Megan.
October the 1st 2012
I decided to wash the liner from the pushchair as it was looking a bit
grubby. Put it on a low heat wash and it washed like a dream and felt
almost dry when it came out of the washing machine. Left it over the
radiator over night and it was completely dry.
October the 2nd 2012
I decided to try out my universal foot muff as the EVO one has been a faff so far.
The universal one stayed in place a lot better than the EVO one – as the
material on the back is cotton. Where as the EVO is a shiny back so
slips down.
Although Michael appears to have grown out of the universal one – which
seems quite long – so I am wondering if my baby boy is shooting up
quicker than I realise!
It would be helpful if the foot muff had the same Velcro in place that
the liner does as it would mean that it stayed in place and didn’t keep
slipping down.
I am sure that it would be fine for a small baby – but it is a bit of a faff with my almost 2 year old!
October the 5th 2012
So after realising my universal foot muff is
too small I thought I would try the EVO's one last time. Michael was
asleep and as usual stayed asleep after being moved from the car. As you
can see his feet are at the end of the foot muff.
So the EVO's foot muff is now being packed away and back to a good old blanket!! Only issue now is it doesn't match!!
October the 6th 2012
So one item I haven't really mentioned. The brakes. I'm not finding them very easy to use.
When
I press them down I have been finding that they aren't actually on and I
need to press them again to actually lock in position.
This has
meant I hardly use them and cling on to the pushchair for dear life. But
perhaps if I used them more I'd get more used to the amount of pressure
required.
October the 7th 2012
We helped out at a car boot sale that our local friends of Cancer Research group had a stall at.
I
saw my first other EVO. They also had it in lime, so Michael (who was
wandering around) thought it was his and kept following them saying me
whilst pointing at it!!
They had a young baby (less than 6 months) old in the pushchair unit, laid flat. She looked really cosy!!
Thought to myself good choice!!
October the 8th 2012
We went to animal farm again.
Here's Michael's new bob the builder trying it out!!
He fits lovely, Michael wasn't as keen!!
October the 13th and 14th
I have been busy working
all week and the EVO has been in the car as weather has been awful so
dad didn't want it as he decided against a walk in the rain!!
We
went to Gavin's grandparents to stay the night and had the EVO in the
boot as well as numerous bags required for little people!!
We
stopped in Sainsburys on the way home and I had the EVO in two pieces.
Clipped the seat on in seconds. Lifted Michael (asleep again) into
pushchair outward facing and off we went.
Put sleeping Michael
in the car and folded the pushchair up in one. It would not fit back in
the gap around the stuff that the wheels and seat came out of! So
quickly took the seat off, folded the wheels and slotted it back in.
I actually prefer putting it in separately as can fit more in around it and I can choose which way to have Michael!
October the 15th 2012
Anyone who is worried about how heavy a pushchair is, would have no worries with the EVO. It's very light to lift and very easy to push especially one handed.
Here
is the EVO and my large wheelie bin - I pushed the EVO one handed and
pulled the bin round the corner to put back in the back garden.
Here is the EVO inside my front door showing the steps I have to get up to get in.
It's bumps up and down the steps well and Gav and dad just lift it straight down with Michael in it.
October the 19th 2012
We went for a walk up to my friends. As the
EVO is so easy to push and put up and down we are definitely walking
more than we ever did.
The recline function on the seat is super
easy to use and Michael tells me UP when he wants to sit up more! It
can be used one handed which is a bonus. Mums McLaren is a faff and
needs both hands and the right angle leaning over to reach them both!
You can adjust the footrest of the pushchair but to be honest we don't use this function.
Anytime
I have the footrest down Michael tells me No and Up. He definitely
likes having his feet up!! We never had this option on our other
pushchair so his feet were always down, so he definitely is making the
most of the choice!!
October the 22nd 2012
I am having issues with folding the EVO up and getting it to clip in so that it doesn’t undo. I am sure it is all to do with the wheels – but a couple days on I am no further along in getting it closed!
I tried on Saturday a few times but gave up as a neighbour was stood watching me and I felt a bit of an idiot!! I tried again yesterday and it gets close to closing but won’t actually clip in!
I have put it back up and tried again but keep failing. Will need to try again
and double check that something hasn’t gone on in the basket etc that
is stopping it from closing. It is most annoying!!
October the 23rd 2012
I went out at lunch to try to see if I could fold the pushchair up. Took it out put it up and it went down first time. So no idea what I was doing wrong yesterday!!
October the 28th 2012
I had to take Michael swimming as Gavin was busy helping build the carnival float for Bridgwater Carnival.
I
decided to do some shopping first. Unfortunately it was miserable, so
whipped the rain cover on, Michael was asleep in the car, got him in no
problems and he stayed asleep until 5 minutes before swimming.
October the 29th 2012
Was thinking I was going to have 5 passengers. So set up one of the back two seats. I left the other down for the pushchair.

Still lots of room for stuff too. However I'd struggle to fit the EVO in the car if I had all 7 seats up.
A challenge I may have to try!!
November the 3rd 2012
Michael enjoying the fireworks at Longleat.
We crossed various terrain and the EVO coped brilliantly.
November the 4th 2012
Michael had swimming again, and the car park
as usual was packed. So I drove to the cricket club, whipped up the EVO
and off we went.
Still loving how easy it is to put together and
love Michael facing me so I can talk to him. Given the choice however he
wants to face out!
November the 5th 2012
I had to look after my little sisters today. As the weather appeared to be rain free we decided to go out to Animal Farm.
Gavin had the day off and my father in law and sister in law came along too.
I
hadn't really anticipated how muddy and wet the farm would be. Michael
was in his wellies and had great fun jumping in all the puddles.
So much so he wouldn't even sit in the pushchair.
Not a bad thing considering how muddy he got. Instead it was used to dry Indee's coat as well as keep all our belongings on it!
November the 10th 2012
I took Michael out for a walk in the EVO in
the hope he would have a long sleep ready for North Petherton Carnival.
He slept for over 2 hours in the pushchair!
Michael fell asleep before carnival even
started (around 8pm). He stayed asleep throughout the procession (with
the aid of his ear defenders).
He was very cosy in the EVO - blankets and
the rain cover. I did have to open the middle flap up every so often as
it was steaming up under there!

November the 11th 2012
We decided to go and watch the firework
display put on at Burnham On Sea. As it was Remembrance Sunday they set
off red fireworks to 'I Vow To Thee My Country'.
Michael stayed awake through most of the
fireworks but then fell asleep in my arms. I transferred him straight to
the EVO where he stayed asleep.
The reflective strip is a good feature as it makes the pushchair stand out in light – although only any good if forward facing.
The yellow on Michael’s head is him getting over excited with a highlighter. Perhaps he wanted to match the pushchair??
November the 12th - 14th 2012
I have been busy
working so the EVO has been at home with dad. He has taken it out while I
have been at work. He still loves it too as he can easily lift up and
down our stairs and steer one handed with the dog!
November the 15th - 19th 2012
We have been away at Disneyland Paris with Michael’s godmum Megan, to celebrate her 18th birthday.
We flew from Bristol
to Paris so I left the EVO safely at home. I took mum’s umbrella
stroller which I thought was a Maclaren when in fact it is a Chicco
pushchair! The Chicco has made me
realise how much I love the EVO. It was horrible to push – I like being
able to push one handed if necessary. It is so light etc etc. I had horrible trouble
with the foot muff in fact I broke it. Which again proves that Michael
is too long for all the foot muffs! The brakes kept sticking and the basket underneath was tiny.
All in all I can’t wait to take Michael out at the weekend in the EVO. (I am busy working this week!)
November the 20th - 23rd 2012
Since returning from Disney I have been busy working. The Evo has been tucked up in my car apart from a couple outings with dad.
November the 24th 2012
We decided to go and do a bit of shopping.
A last minute thing so we went in the 207. Big mistake!!
We popped in the Entertainer and bought some toys. We bought some clothes and then decided to do our weekly shop in Sainsburys.
Coming home was a slight challenge. But made easier by the EVO as it comes apart so easily.
November the 25th - 29th 2012
Unfortunately the Evo has stayed in the car and me and Michael have stayed in the house. We have both had a nasty bug and I have been off sick from work.
We popped out shopping for some fresh air with Michael’s Grandad and his auntie Carly.
We had to stop for a coffee and a mince pie – here is Michael just after having his drink and food.

Mum wanted a lift into town to do her shopping and we had to pay a cheque into the bank.
We went in the Zafira and I sat in the 6
th seat and the EVO was next to me on the collapsed seat.
Whilst on our way in I noticed that there was some stones in the wheels.
I managed to pick one of them out and it now has left an imprint in the
wheel!

December the 3rd 2012
We are at Center Parcs from Monday to Friday for winter wonderland with Gavin's grandparents.
Here is Michael in the EVO in the villa about to go down to swimming.
Looking forward to using the EVO as I love it and its been a while.
The wheels also came in handy when the men brought our luggage from the car park instead of driving it to the villa!
December the 4th 2012
Here is Michael in the EVO having played a game of ten pin bowling!
December the 7th 2012 Michael’s great Nan – Nanny Rose – pushed the pushchair at every given opportunity!
She was most impressed with the EVO. Said it manoeuvred really well. Was
really easy to push compared to the other contraptions she had used.
The only not so positive comment was about the colour – and that was
just that it was very modern! She said to pass on her praise as she
loved pushing it so much!
December the 9th 2012
Here is the back seats with the EVO and other
items as the boot was loaded up. We are on our way back from Gav’s
grandparents house, having stayed there Friday and Saturday night.
It
is so handy that the EVO splits up as it means you can pack the car and
then fit the pushchair in as oppose to fitting the pushchair and
packing around that.
December the 15th 2012
Here is Michael enjoying the
rugby at Bridgwater and Albion at Maxwells Chartered Accountants sponsor
match. Which is where Gav works.
Only downside I can find with the EVO is that i struggle to put the brake on in my uggs.
December the 26th 2012
We decided to break with tradition and go away for a few days.We went to Paignton Zoo and within an hour it was absolutely chucking it down with rain. Michael was nice and dry in the EVO. I
could really have done with a cover for the basket though as it was
raining so much and our spare clothes for Michael and change bag got a
bit wet!
Here is Michael looking at the giraffes.
December the 27th 2012
We went to Living Coasts in Torquay. Here is Michael looking at the penguins.
I
like the bar across the middle as Michael was in and out the pushchair
so we didn't strap him in and got him in and out quickly.I
obviously will say you should strap you children in at all times and
only did this myself as we were at the aquarium which was really flat
and for ease.
My father in law commented on how sturdy it is after crashing it into the fence a couple times! The basket on the EVO is quite strong. Here is Michael sitting in the EVO when we were busy tidying the room!
December the 28th 2012
Time to return home. I have said it so many times but the fact the EVO comes apart so easily is a superb feature. We
stopped at Trago Mills on our way home and with our luggage and
purchases we made the day before in Home Bargains my boot in the Zafira
was full! Thankfully we split the EVO down and put the wheels in front of Michael and the seat unit next to me.
With
my old Graco we could only fit in on the back seats so I wouldn't have
been able to come home or we would have been faffing about putting it in
the boot and moving the shopping to the back.
December the 31st 2012
On our way out to our friends house for new years eve.
The
EVOs basket size is a massive bonus and enabled us to take up food,
drink, board games, toys and a change bag with space left!
January the 6th 2013
I'm still amazed at how easy the EVO is to put
together. The wheels are up in seconds and most people can put the seat
on in seconds. Gavin did struggle the other day!
The wheels can be folded back down one handed and is light enough to carry one handed.
Here is Michael asleep while we popped into Gavin's work. Given how the seat unit is, I still managed to lift him without him waking!
January the 11th 2013
Following a post on Facebook about eating in the pushchair.
With my old pushchair I did let Michael eat in it while he was using the footmuff as this is easy to take off and clean.
I
have always let him eat in the Evo despite not using the footmuff. The
liner comes off and is easy to wash and dry and you can take the seat
off and turn upside down to get rid of the crumbs.
Here is some chocolate waste on the liner. So in the wash it must go!
January the 13th 2013
Michael had his swimming lesson. I met Gav at the swimming pool so took the pushchair so I didn't have to try to chase Michael! It
is so easy to push and lightweight I had no trouble maneuvering around
the chairs and through the doors. A task i really struggled with in our
Graco Illusion.
After swimming we decided to go
in a shop up the town where I spied a Graco Evo in lime and they were
using the carrycot. It looked stunning! I probably looked like a crazy
lady staring admiring their pushchair when I was pushing the same albeit
with the seat!
We then popped into Morrisons I managed to fill a small trolley. Thanks to the big basket ever, we put all
the heavy items in there and with the two hooks I hung the light stuff off the pushchair.
Leaving Gavin with a couple bags and we walked back to the car park! I had visions of having to go and get the car! Evo was still easy to push despite being overloaded! Emptied the shopping into the boot and Michael into the car and folded the pushchair up in seconds.
January the 18th 2013
So the snow arrived. We live at the bottom of a hill and I brought work home as I didn't fancy driving in it! I
took my lunch early as Michael needed to go to sleep and as I didn't
want to drive I decided to road test the EVO in the snow. On
the front path realised it wasn't going to be plain sailing but Michael
was wrapped up warm and I had my walking boots on so thought it was
worth a shot.I decided to lock the front wheels to see if that helped as I was sliding along the pavement and was really heavy to push.
I lent
down clicked the wheels in, in seconds. This helped a lot. It meant I could
walk along the footpath without the wheels sliding everywhere.
Obviously this made the steering difficult but with the pushchair being light I tipped it back to adjust as necessary.Michael
fell asleep on route but I carried on to the post office. I unlocked
the wheels to go in the shop again taking very little time. I picked up some bargains and filled the basket underneath and started off home again. Michael stayed snug with the raincover on him as it was snowing. I
met someone on route who was pushing her pushchair on the road. As the
slush was easier to push than the snow. I stayed on the footpath as
there were still cars about that were going quite fast. And with the
ability to lock the wheels meant I could stay safe and have a pleasant
trip out!
Later on we went up mums. Took the
Evo but didn't lock the wheels as Gav was pushing and it was very slushy
which was easy to push in. All in all very impressed
with how it cope in the snow. I haven't used a pushchair before in the
snow as worried about how safe and never needed to, so can't compare.
But I felt completely safe with the EVO and would happily take it out
again.
January the 19th 2013
On Saturday
we were collecting in Morrisons for Cancer Research. Usually Michael
would come and sit in his pushchair but due to freezing conditions we
left him with dad.
Whilst collecting there was a
man and baby waiting for his wife. The baby was in a Graco car seat in
black on the EVO wheels. I must admit if I had to pick a colour I would
probably have picked Black.
I do love the Lime and like its different but do like good old black!
January the 20th 2013
Sunday we had swimming and popped shopping too.
As ever bought too much so wheels went in the back and seat unit on the shopping. When we got home we transported the shopping on the wheels to save carrying round the corner to our front room.
January the 23rd 2013
My 27th birthday and had work :( it also snowed again. My sister had Michael and took him out in the snow with the EVO
In
the evening our path was really icy so I sat Michael in the EVO wrapped up
warm and tried to shovel some snow while Gav was coming home. I didn't
get very far so he finished it when we got back from having our tea.
January the 26th 2013
It was Gavs cousins birthday so we went to see the family and stayed at his Nan and Grandads.
Here is the car loaded for our trip.
Gavs cousins girlfriend commented on what a lovely colour the EVO is as there little girls pushchair is black and lime too!
January the 29th 2013
My sister in law Carly got
offered a new job so we went out for a meal to celebrate. Michael fell
asleep in the car so I moved him to the EVO when we got there.
He
stayed asleep almost the whole time. I fitted the EVO between our table
and apart from when I woke him taking his jacket off he was quite
happily asleep. He shuffled down the seat at one point and was half
falling off. But surprisingly didn't seem uncomfortable.
Carly
was singing the EVO's praises to her mother In law and sister in law.
Telling them all the great features! They seemed quite impressed!
February the 1st 2013
We are off on holiday for the weekend after surviving the January rush in work.
Gavin had some work to do at a clients in the morning (on route) so me and Michael popped to Toys R Us.
Big mistake not putting Michael in the EVO! He ran riot. I'm not normally one to look at other pushchairs as I have one but had time to kill so had a nose.
Only
one stood out and that was the Graco Symbio. Thought its really good
that its a pram and pushchair in one and no need for a separate
carrycot. Lovely colour (not really ideal for boys though). Looked at
the basket and put me off in an instant!
Love love love the EVOs basket!! Love its features too and feel bad for looking at another pushchair!!
February the 2nd 2013
We spent yesterday unpacking and enjoying the hot tub so decided to go on a walk.
Here's Michael ready to snooze in the pushchair.
Very bumpy foot paths and uneven roads but Michael nodded off and stayed asleep long after we got back.
I
think he was asleep close to 2 hours which is a miracle these days! He
does fill the seat unit and if he fidgets his feet hang over.
Me and Michael popped out shopping. For the first time ever when I got
back to the car I couldn't take the seat unit off. It took me 5 or 6
attempts to get it off. Still no idea why! But it was most frustrating!
Hoping it isn't an issue that continues!
February the 10th 2013
Swimming again and popped to get some shopping. Michael refused to
get in the pushchair and having bought too much I made use of the room.
February the 16th 2013
We popped out and Michael fell asleep in the car. Although he is
much bigger I still managed to get him in the pushchair without waking
him! I love that the pushchair is so easy to put together. It is by far
one of the best features!
We did some shopping and again I bought too much so hung one bag on
the back of the pushchair (a very heavy one). Put Michael back into the
car and the pushchair tipped up! I was most concerned about the
pushchair - and not the glass jars I had brought! Thankfully all was
well!
I think I will stick to the basket in future!
February the 17th 2013
After swimming we popped over to Animal Farm as Mike The Knight was there. Here is Michael on the ducks with the EVO watching.
The EVO is very good over the rough ground.
Not sure how many months exactly that we have had the EVO but I love it love it love still!!
We went to Clarks Village to use some vouchers we had been given.
The EVO's basket came in very handy as we managed to fit lots of shopping in it!
Michael gobbled up a whole punnet of blueberries and I think I need to give the seat cover a clean again!
February the 27th 2013
We popped up to Tesco in the village.
Michael fills the seat quite a lot, but the straps still fit around him with his coat on.
I'd prefer to be able to snuggle him in a footmuff but he's much too big so blankets have to do!
March the 3rd 2013
We popped shopping after swimming.
I
have a criticism of the Evo. Although the basket is large its pretty
inaccessible when Michael is lying down asleep in parent facing mode. An improvement would to be able to collapse the basket like Graco have on some of their travel systems. As currently I have to try to raise the foot rest to squeeze stuff in. All without waking Michael!
March the 6th 2013
Here's us popping out for a walk and Michael not happy having his picture taken!!
March the 10th 2013
We went to church for mothers day then went swimming.
I
struggled to get the seat unit off of the pushchair and then when I
finally did I struggled to fold the wheels down and lock it in place. The wheels are something I do struggle with quite a lot!
March the 11th 2013
Here we are again popping out for a stroll.
I tend to keep the pushchair in the car to avoid having to find a home for it in the house! I love that it takes seconds to put up and that you pick which way they face. Michael normally asks to face out and not face mummy but I like having him face me!
Here is Michael again not happy that I am taking his picture!
March the 16th March
The joys of a big car! Here is my weekly shop on one side of the car with the Evo on the other! If I need more space in trampoline boot then I move the Evo to the back seats.
The fact it come apart means its much more flexible when fitting everything in the car.
March the 18th 2013
Dad took Michael out as I had a bad headache.
I'm still amazed at how light the Evo is as dad managed to lift it up our steps with ease with a 2 stone Michael asleep in it!
March the 24th 2013
As ever we had Michael's swimming lesson and then did the food shopping.
Thankfully Michael still falls asleep in the EVO and fell asleep whilst we were shopping.
March the 31st 2013
Our dear friend Paige's 21st Birthday is tomorrow, but she's in London, so we went round with her presents.
The basket was quite full, which its size is very handy.
We
tried out our holiday shade as I was trying to get Michael to sleep and
it was very bright. This extends a bit more than the EVOs hood.
Although the EVO's is a good size.
April the 1st 2013
We went to Animal Farm to see Fireman Sam.
There was 6 of us in my Zafiria. On the way down I had the wheels in front of Michael and the seat in the boot with our bags.
We
had a lovely day, I did struggle to push Michael across the overflow
car park as the ground was very bumpy as the stones were quite large. Again I managed to get Michael to have his nap in the EVO and he slept quite happily.
On
the way home I was cold and tired so had the wheels in front of Michael
and the seat next to me so our stuff could just go straight in the
boot!
April the 5th 2013
Here
is me and Michael off for a walk in the EVO. Michael does prefer to
walk himself and not sit in the EVO but I am trying to get full use out
of it and it is much easier pushing him than chasing him up the road!
April the 8th 2013
We have come away to Devon Cliffs in Exmouth to Gavin’s nan’s caravan for a break.
It is a very hilly site, so it is good that the EVO is so light to push!
Again Michael has fallen asleep whilst we were out exploring!!
April the 11th 2013
Michael
and his godmum Megan went swimming. I dropped them off as Megan was
worried that she was going to get lost walking over!
I decided to walk back over to meet them with the EVO as I knew that Michael would be tired.
As
the EVO is so light I decided to take the shortcut which is down the
path, down some steps and then up a hill which has steps. I carried the
EVO down the few steps and then managed to push it up the hill alongside
the steps quite easily.
Once
I met them Michael had a play in the park and then I decided it would
be safer if Michael walked down the steps and up the few steps and then
put him in the EVO on the path. I managed to push the EVO down the hill
whilst walking down the steps alongside.
I
put Michael in the EVO on the flat and Megan decided she would push him
up the path back to the caravan. It was great fun to see her struggle
after saying how easy it would be!
April the 12th 2013
Another trip to Crealy Great Adventure Park.
Here is the EVO waiting for us whilst we went on the Safari Train. Here is Michael exhausted after lots of playing! I
may need to clean the wheels of the EVO as going through the range of
surfaces as well as fields has got the wheels a bit dirty

April the 14th 2013
Home to reality and swimming lesson and food shopping as usual.
Here is Michael who has fallen asleep again in the EVO.
April the 17th 2013
The EVO is a bit on the grubby side - so I really need to wash the liner - and probably give the whole thing a good clean!
Here are some of the marks on the liner.
The liner washes really easily and dries super quickly too!
Nothing exciting happening today with the EVO - we had swimming and shopping. Michael fell asleep as usual but not snaps today!
April the 22nd 2013
I managed to break the EVO's basket today. Not quite sure how I managed
it - but had shoved some 2 litres bottles in at an angle at the side. Gutted wasn't the word! I worked out how to take the basket off of the pushchair - which is super easy to do - due to the poppers on the basket.
I contacted Graco that evening on their facebook page and had a reponse
the next day saying to either email or call their customer services
department. I sent an email asking how I would go about getting a replacement basket. I was told that if it is under warranty to contact the store that you
bought it from. If not then you can purchase it through them.
I explained that I was trialing it through puschair trader and Graco arranged for one to be sent out. Graco were really helpful and added to explain to readers that the
baskets will be replaced if they break and are under warranty as long as
the weight restirctions on the basket (5kg) are followed.
Would definiely recommend contacting them if you have an issues on any items you have purchased as they were super!
Great delight - my Graco's EVO's basket arrived! I am amazed at how
promptly this basket has been delivered! Very impressed with the service
I have had from Graco!!
April the 30th 2013
Unfortunately today was the day we said goodbye to our dear friend Tracey’s mother in law Eileen. We took Michael to the wake to keep spirits high.
Here he is in the EVO on the way. We had quite a lot of comments on how funky the EVO looks!
May the 4th 2013
We took Michael to the cricket as it was Gavin’s works sponsor match. He fell asleep in the car before we arrived.
We set up the EVO and put Michael in. It was really bright so I used the Koodi sun and sleep shade that I use on holiday.
It fitted on the EVO perfectly and kept Michael out of the sun and more importantly he stayed asleep!
May the 6th 2013
Mummy and Daddy Pig were at Animal Farm so we took Michael and the EVO along. I really struggled to push the EVO across the stones this time, but we were in the back part of the car park!
Michael
seems like he soon won’t fit in the EVO – his head seems to be at the
top of the hood! And he certainly is short compared to his peers and is
only 2 ½ - so whether it would last him to 3 is unclear!
Although he does like walking more and more. I prefer having the pushchair as you can load everything in it!
May the 19th 2013
An
early start had by all – Gavin, my dad, Michael and I were all in the
car by 5.30 to drive down to Dorchester to volunteer at Race for Life as
they were short of helpers.
The EVO in the lime was a big bonus – so that all the movement on the site early on – could see my pushchair and child! We had rain from the moment we arrived until the moment we left at 2pm! On
route to our marshall point Michael fell asleep! He stayed asleep until
the race started and then had great fun cheering the ladies on!
He
was a bit upset at one point that he couldn’t see and due to the width
of the course and the number of ladies running at me – I couldn’t move
the pushchair. Instead I picked him up in the seat unit and swivelled
him around so he was forward facing. He gave the ladies much needed encouragement.
The EVO pushed really well across the grass and the various tracks that we had to use!
May the 22nd 2013
Took Michael out for a spot of shopping. Typical male – he didn’t enjoy it and fell asleep!
May the 24th 2013
I wish I had taken a picture – but I didn’t.
We
went to Butlins for the weekend and I had 6 of us in our car and my mum
had 5 in hers. We put the wheels in front of Michael and then on top of
the luggage beside my brother we had the seat unit.
We were definitely loaded up!
The
EVO makes going anywhere even with a car full really easy, because it
comes apart. Instead of having to put a pushchair in whole and working
out what else it can fit. It is still one of my favourite features!
May the 25th 2013
After not having a very productive day yesterday we had a fun filled day today.
Here is Michael outside of our room, enjoying some juice! Ready to have more fun!
May the 26th 2013
We were in the Bob The Builders Yard and me and Megan were taking a rest on a bench.
I am always on pushchair watch to see if I see another EVO and what colour etc.
I
can’t say I was overly impressed by the colour of this one – I think
the blue looks much nicer! But did think that it looked like a really
nice. Looks like the basket is quite big and looked like it was easy to
push too! On first impressions looks a nice stroller.
I looked and saw a Graco EVO mini.

May the 27th 2013
So the weekend was over as soon as it began! Time to return home and load the car and hope we all fit back in.
Before
we had even got to the car Michael fell asleep from all the swimming he
had been doing! Here he is crashed out with his new firemans helmet!
June the 1st 2013
Here we are out in the sunshine taking my little sisters home after we had enjoyed a lovely BBQ!
Monday 3rd - Friday 14th June 2013
My car has been out of action, as has my phone so I haven't been able to take any pictures.
We seem to be using the EVO less for short journeys as Michael wants to
walk. He's almost 2 and 1/2 so sitting still is not as much fun as
running around.
He's also starting to drop his nap so the faithful EVO isn't being used to get him to sleep either!
June the 15th 2013
My car is back on the road and had a call to say my phone is ready. Off into town we go. Here is Michael on our way home. He fell asleep while I was walking over to the phone shop and stayed asleep and missed our trip into Subway!
Even though he is trying not to nap in the day he still finds the EVO comfy enough for a snooze
June the 22nd 2013
Gavin borrowed the zafira so we had to borrow his Peugeot. I forgot how handy it is having a big boot as I struggled to make it fit in!
It did eventually but it was a challenge!
June the 23rd 2013
I left Michael with his Granny and I went off to Sherborne Race for Life to volunteer.
Ever the ECO spotter I spied another EVO in lime and a very snug looking baby with the footmuff on as it was quite windy!
I am much more aware of other pushchairs than I have ever been!!
June the 30th 2013
Gavin has been at Glastonbury Festival for a week so I had to take Michael swimming.
We went to a few shops first with my dad and nephew. Michael tried
nodding off in the EVO but I kept talking to him to keep him awake as
didn't want to have to wake him 10 minutes later for his swimming
lesson.
After swimming we popped in the supermarket to get some shopping and
before I got back to the car Michael nodded off cuddling his new
lunchbox for Nursery!!
July the 5th 2013
We went out to do a course walk for Bristol Race for Life as Gavin is course manager.
Michael fell asleep on the drive over to the downs. So we put him in the EVO.
I didn't have the sun cover I have used before and was concerned of the
sun shining on his legs so I covered him up with my cardigan.
The EVO was quite easy to push around the grass and roads. I struggled
two years ago when I was pushing my "holiday" hauck that had really
small wheels.
Michael had a really long sleep. When he woke up he wanted to play football. So whilst pushing the EVO we had a run around.I even managed to film us playing whilst running with the EVO one handed.
July the 6th 2013
Today was Bristols 10k Race for Life.We arrived at 8am to set up the course. Then we marshalled the race.
I sat Michael in the EVO to eat his jacket potato for dinner. When we
walked over to our position Michael fell asleep and stayed asleep until
well after the race had finished.
July the 13th 2013
We popped shopping with my little sisters to get some bits for our swimming pool.
Here is Michael just as we were getting back into the car.
July the 22nd 2013
I popped into town to pick up some shopping. Michael fell asleep as soon as we pulled into the carpark so I had do the shop with the pushchair! I only needed some bits for his lunchbox at nursery so managed with a basket. Michael managed to look after a few bits while I fitted a couple bags in the basket and carry the rest. Thankfully the EVO is easy to push one handed!
Final Summary 2013
I cannot believe a year has gone by and it's now time to do my final summary. Firstly I am ever grateful to Graco for giving the pushchair to pushchair trader and secondly to pushchair trader for picking me. I have enjoyed testing the EVO and have had many of fun days out with Michael. I have been asked to give 3 pro's of the EVO as well as 3 con's. I have struggled with both tasks. How do I pick just 3 pro's when I have loved it so much!
I am really sad that our time has come to an end and will be shedding a tear when I have to send the pushchair back!
I would throughly recommend the EVO and rate it 5/5. Although I picked some Cons, they really are small things as I had to pick something.
I definitely would recommend the EVO to any family members who are looking for a pushchair. Especially as you can now buy a stand too for the carrycot!
Well done to Graco for another fab product!
