Hi all! My name's Elaine, and together with my partner Gary we have a seven month old daughter called Kaitlyn (otherwise known as the Tiny Human) and two dogs called Jilly and Jeffrey. Together we all live in a small house on the outskirts of a rather boring town in Devon. We tend to spend our days in a haze of shopping, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and trips to the stables where I kept my horse pre pregnancy. The Tiny Human and I are both very excited to have been chosen to review this pushchair, and I hope we can make it both informative an entertaining for you all. X

First Impressions:
My partner was the one to take the delivery of
the Speedstar, and his first words when he picked up the box were genuinely
'Bloody hell!'
We both had concerns that, from the pictures we had seen, the pushchair looked a bit flimsy - especially as we're used to an iCandy cherry - this is not the case!! It seems very sturdy, and I've already tested it with our giant changing bag hanging off the handles and it's still standing.
It was relatively easy to put together, and the colour looks nicer in real life than in the pictures, when I googled it, it looked a bit washed out.
The fleece in the cosytoes is beautifully soft and fluffy, and it really pads out the pushchair seat nicely. I'm slightly worried about the wheels however. We do an awful lot of walking, and instead of being made of rubber these wheels are moulded plastic - I'm not sure how they'll last long term... We're off out for our test run shortly, so we'll keep you updated!

With it being Christmas, the new pushchair hasn't made it out of the house a lot this week! Saying that, we did do a bit of last minute shopping at the weekend, and the koochi was brilliant. The handles are ideal for hanging a basket on, and it's nippy enough to avoid all the people in town who haven't a clue where they are going. The basket is slightly difficult to get things into, but I avoided that issue by hanging bags on the handles! Still worried about the wheels, mind
We've all had stinking colds over Christmas and the new year, so venturing out to pantomime rehearsal on Friday was an adventure! The weather was cold and rainy, so it was the first opportunity to try the rain cover out. It's very easy to fit (even in the dark) and the cosy toes is just that - cosy and soft. The Tiny Human didn't even seen aware that the weather was rubbish. Everyone at rehearsal LOVES the pushchair, it was any excuse to play with it! I think it may even end up being a prop at this rate, I don't think Sleeping Beauty will have ever been so stylish! X

Well, the Koochi made its first visit to my 'Go To' Mums house this week, my wonderful friend Claire who's always on hand for advice. She's got four children, so if she doesn't know the answer, no one does!! The middle two, Keri, 5, and Emily, 2, were incredibly impressed with the colour if nothing else. Emily kept grabbing my hand and pointing at it, saying 'Pink!!' She was so taken with it, that the walk to the farm shop actually involved a minor safety strap adjustment so she could sit in it instead of our Tiny Human. Since it was pretty cold and wet, I don't think the Tiny Human minded too much.

Busy day for us yesterday, with a trip to the vets with our elderly dog,
then the supermarket, then the fabric shop, all before lunchtime!! I've
decided that while the Koochi is brilliant for nipping around the
shops, it's definitely not my friend for climbing the massive hill we
live at the top of... Mind you, it's not a bad thing as I was certainly a
lot warmer when we got home than when we left! At least the Tiny Human
was cosy and warm while we were out and about.
