The eagerly awaited parcel arrived on Tuesday afternoon. After our toddler was in bed, the fun could start assembling the Croozer. It was a bulky, heavy parcel that took two people to unpack it, one to hold the box down and the stronger person to lift out the Croozer.

I was struck by how few parts there seemed to be and set about constructing it. Referring to the instructions occasionally, it was relatively easy to assemble. The fixings I would describe as no frills, function over looks but they were very sturdy. The added bonus is that no tools are required to put the Croozer together. I tried all three variations and this took about half an hour, which was pleasantly surprising. Most time was taken by attaching the bicycle trailer to the bike. Now the hitch unit is fixed on to the axle nut, the trailer will easily connect next time.

It is very wide which is beneficial as a bicycle trailer (giving distance between the child and any traffic) but at present seems unwieldy as a stroller. However I can see the pros of having it turn into a stroller from a bicycle trailer. I found that we could not get the Croozer through our internal doors with the rear wheels attached.

The Croozer is robust with wide frame bars, which give me confidence. It has reflectors on the side and front with fixings for lights at the front and rear if needed at dusk. Can't wait to try it, resisting the urge to wake my toddler and give him a spin round the block!
