Cosatto: Ditto

Pushchair Review

My name is Jo, I live in Derby with my three kids, being a bit of a pram-a-holic I've had far more pushchairs then I care to admit. I mainly use my pushchairs for normal mundane things like schools runs, shopping etc.and occasionally just nice long walks down the canal path. I don't drive so I need my pushchair to be not only comfy for baby it also needs to be comfy for me. There is nothing worse than not being able to get up/down a big curb or getting blisters on my hands.  

When I bought the Cosatto Ditto I was looking for a small folding double for our summer days out using a lot of public transport. I had the Out 'n' About - Nipper 360 but on my own with 3 kids, it was too much of a hassle to fold, so I wanted an easy one-hand fold stroller...that's when I came across the Cosattto Ditto. I originally wanted the you2 twin but I couldn't justify the price, when my daughter liked to walk more than be pushed, so I bought the Ditto for £132 from Precious Little Ones.  

This double works great for what I need it for. It has fairly spacious seats, my 2 and a half year old fits with room to spare, the hoods are independent with extra sun visors so each kid can have as much or as little shade as they like. Both seats also have individual recline and are suitable from birth. Although I found this fairly tricky to recline as it involves lifting two leavers either side of the seat, which would be easy on a single, but I found it hard to reach the ones in the middle. However it is very easy to sit up again; you just push the back of the seat up.

It has two medium baskets but these are almost impossible to get into when seats are reclined. The fold is a bog-standard stroller fold, very easy to do and tiny and light once folded, it also has an automatic lock to keep it folded, which I love.

What I love most about this side-by-side is the fact it looks fantastic with its colourful stripes, its easy to push even with almost 4 stone of babies on board and the foam covered handles stop you getting blisters on your hands. But the most important fact; it fits through every door we've been through, even my front door and it's only 74 cm wide. I also really like the fact it has three handles, not just for the extra shopping I could hang off it but also it is very useful to help me get the pushchair into tight spots. The only thing I don't like about this pushchair is the wheels; they are tiny and cheap looking, so every bump is felt and they dont' look like they belong to the rest of the pushchair. Otherwise the Cosatto Ditto is a good looking pushchair.

Conclusion

This is a very basic but practical double stroller, that is both comfy for mother and baby. Probably not a great full time pushchair but fantastic for day trips, holidays and for chucking in the car. I would recommend this pushchair to my friends and family as both myself and the kids both enjoy using it.
