Ann-Marie Speak 'Living With' the Cosatto Yo!

 

March the 15th 2013

Took the yo! For another trip to the mother and baby group today. It was a little cold today, but Isabel didn't mind as she was lovely and warm with the cosy toes and the rain cover on to stop the wind. Sometimes the yo! Seems to move to one side as your pushing it; which makes it a little tricky to push with one hand. Today I noticed the front wheels seem to click when you go over the bumps on the path, I found it a little annoying fingers crossed I don't notice it each time I push Isabel.

March the 18th 2013

The Yo! Goes on holiday! We are going on our first family holiday; we are only going for a couple of days to the lake district. When packing the car the Yo! Fits nicely at the back of our boot followed by an enormous amount of baby things for Isabel! The boot was packed full!

This is a little photo of the Yo! In our hotel room, Isabel is chilling out after our 3 hour drive to get here! She loves the comfy and soft cosy toes.

March the 19th 2013

We are celebrating Isabel's daddy's birthday today. We are still on holiday and are off exploring the lakes and the Cosatto Yo! is coming along for the ride. This is daddy and Isabel having a look at lake windamere. This is the first time daddy has got to grips with the yo! He was very impressed with the spacious basket underneath. He found the pushchair was tricky to push with one hand, and seemed to go where it wanted. As her daddy is a lot taller than me, we both are able to push the yo with ease, even though the handles do not adjust.

We had to stop for lunch, unfortunately there was no high chair, this was not a problem as Isabel was happy enough to sit in the Yo and eat her messy lunch! Amazingly there were no spills this time; I'm sure some time in the near future the cosy toes will need a clean. We will put it to the test and see how it copes in the wash.

After lunch we had a little walk, and as usual Isabel fell asleep, this must b the comfiest pushchair as she always falls asleep on our travels! Poor Isabel missed the ducks; but the ducks seemed fascinated by the yo! And followed us across the path!

Overall daddy was very pleased with how the Yo handled on our trip, he thought the Yo's basket was spacious but once Isabel was asleep this caused problems as it was a pain to get things out of the basket!

April the 4th 2013

I thought I would give you a little review of the changing bag. We are off out for the day today so I needed to pack lots of things. Here is a list of what I need to get in the bag: two bottles in there warmer bags, water bottle. 4 nappies, wipes, changing mat, 4 bibs, change of clothes, a banana, bowl, spoon, fork knife and 2 jars of food.

April the 9th 2013

we had a little trip out today to the hospital with my mum. We chose to take the yo as it takes up little space within the boot, and can be folded out quickly.
As Isabel, nanny and I were waiting for her appointment a member of staff walked passed. She then turned back round and asked if she could have a little look at the yo! As she was thinking of buying her grandson the yo ahoy there. She had a little push around the waiting area and then asked my opinion of it; I told the lady I loved the style of the yo, and how easy it was to fold up and fit in the boot. I did mention to her that unfortunately it was hard to get to the basket when Isabel falls asleep (which is a lot as the yo is so comfortable)
She was very glad she was able to see the pushchair in real life rather than just on the Internet, she wasn't put off by the basket situation;as she felt this would happen with any pushchair.

April the 12th 2013

Daddy took Isabel out to the park today; hehad the choice of the yo or our other pram as they were both in the hallway. I was shocked he choose the yo! As he normally just uses the old pram as the handles move up and down (Isabel's daddy is nearly 6ft unlike me at 5ft 2).

I don't have a problem with handles, so I was interested in how well he coped with it. On returning from the park I asked him how he had got on, and in typical bloke style his reply was 'yeah fine.' After a little more quizzing he told me he found the handle height really good, as they weren't too low, so it didn't hurt his back. He said he was a little sad that Isabel was facing forward as he likes to talk to her about all the things they see on the way. He felt he was talking to him self as Isabel is still on 7 months and can not talk back.

April the 20th 2013

We decided to make the most of the sun today; we walked Isabel’s daddy to work. (he works on the sea front) We went down to the beach and for a little walk along the sand unfortunately it’s still the horrible sinking, dry and stoney sand at the moment. So it was a little tricky to push in places, I gave daddy the job to push. He said it was easy to push on the normal sand, just a little bit hard when he got to the sinking sand and the very stoney bits.

 

When we got to the hill, Gary had to pull the pushchair over all the stones backwards. I don’t think this was the pushchairs fault, just the silly tides that have moved all the sand and replaced them with stones. Ha ha.

I gave the wheels a little wipe when I got home as I didn’t want the sand to cause any problems with them. 

April the 21st 2013

Wow we have been blessed with another beautiful day, so again I thought we would get out and about in the sunshine (just a shame there was more wind today.) This time we didn’t go onto the beach we just had a stroll across the promenade. I still think about how easy this stroller is to push; even with one hand. I think this is due to having them on the swivel rather than them being locked in the forward position. Along the promenade we stopped at daddy’s shop to see him, and we pinched one of his hats for Isabel. Just a shame it wasn’t red to go with the Go lightly.

April the 30th 2013

We went to Middlesbrough again for hospital appointment. This time we nipped into town to do a little bit of shopping (primark) my cousin took us into the centre, (as I'm a whimp and won't drive in places I don't know) she only has a small car and I was slightly worried the pushchair wouldn't fit as it only just fits length ways in my focus. Unfortunately we had to take the parcel shelf out, but it still fitted. I was very impressed. As her car is a Clio, and we even managed to fit the bags next to it.
While in the shops waiting for my mum, I saw a woman pushing the same yo go lightly!! We be gave each other a smile, knowing we had the same great pushchair. Isabel is stating to pull her self up, she loves pulling the sides of the pushchair to make her self sit up more!

Isabel myself, her two cousins and her Nanna walked up to school to pick up her eldest cousin from school. I pushed the yo! And her Nanna pushed the two others (in a Cosatto double buggy)
We got lots of admiring glances from the parents at the school gates. It was such a lovely day the sun was shinning, I love the fact that the yos! Hood is so long it kept Isabel covered and safe from the sun.
All the way home from school, Isabel's big cousin pushed her all the way home with a little help from me as she is only 4 and can't quite see over the top.

May the 28th 2013

We decided we would meet up with friends today, we met gemma and baby Richard and decided although it didn't seem to nice out we would go for a walk. We walked to one of our local parks: pushing Isabel through the grass was quite easy even though it was bumpy. Isabel didn't seem to bothered by the slightly bumpy ride.
We the went on to the sea front and walked across the promenade, then had a sneaky drink and a bacon sandwich.
I had the cosy toes on today but not sure whether we really need it on as the sun came out and Isabel pulled her feet out anyway!!!

May the 31st 2013

We thought it was about time we took the cosy toes off the Yo! The seat liner has a fleece side for winter and a spotty patterned side for summer. As Isabel ate biscuits in it the other day (and mushed it on the black and white striped bit) I thought it was time to wash the top part (photos to follow another time)
Once I unzipped the cosy toes, undid the straps and took of the liner and turned it round. Isabel was now ready to b out and about showing off the summer Yo! We walked across the seafront again after dropping daddy off at work.
We then went to see my sister in law and my 2 nephews. They were having fun in the paddling pool, Isabel safely watched from the comfort of the Yo! Ha ha she got splashed a little but the liner soon dried in the sun.

We had a slight accident with the liner today, daddy put Isabel's nappy on and some how it leaked all over it. I had to use the pushchair without a liner in for some of today; it looked funny without it.
 I washed both the liner and cosy toes together. I was quite worried that the colours would run, I put a colour catcher in too.

I needn't of worried, nothing had ran. Even the colour catcher came out the way it went in. With it being sunny today they dried in no time.
Once they were dry, I put the liner back on, and Isabel and I went out to enjoy more of the sunshine!
We are going to Alton Towers for the day on the 4th June, I wonder how the Yo! will cope.......

June the 3rd 2013

Isabel and I went round to my mums to see my nephew today, before we go to Alton Towers. I left the Yo! in the kitchen, my cheeky nephew shouted me and then laughed. I walked in to the kitchen to find him in the Yo! All he could say between the laughs was 'izzy's, izzy's' As he knew he shouldn't be in it, but he was too cute not to show you and he has just turned 3 and fits nicely in the Yo! Not sure if I fancy pushing him any where in it though.

June the 4th 2013

Today was my last day of maternity leave we spent the day with the family at alton towers. It was so hot today, I had to put an extra sun shade over the top of the Yo!, as it was too hot and Isabel didn't like the sun in her eyes. Normally we don't need the sun shade, but with it being got I didn't want isabel to get burnt!
The basket is very spacious, as we needed to take lots of things with us. I managed to fit, 4 bottles of water, crisps and snacks, 7 ponchos (so we didn't get wet on water rides) sun cream and lots more.
The Yo! handled really well all around the park, dodging all the annoying people that stopped dead infront of the pushchair!! Getting on and off the skyride lifts was easy even when they kept it moving instead of stopping it to let us off.
What an amazing day to end my maternity leave. At least its only 3 days a week, I still have 4 days to spend with isabel an the Yo!
Maybe have some comments from grandparents as they are having Isabel.

June the 11th 2013

Sorry I've not done many updates since our trip to Alton towers. As I haven't used the Yo! since then. This is due to my sister-in-law pushing it while at Alton towers, she noticed the wheel was slightly buckled. Cosatto customer services were very helpful and sent out a new set of wheels straight away. Since getting the wheels it's been like having a new pushchair all over again. I used to wonder why it would sometimes go to the left when I pushed it with one hand, and now I know why.  I am back to being able to push it with one and it steer straight. Yey!

 

We have been to the beach to walk daddy to work again; we walked across the slightly wet sand today, once we got home we took the new wheels off and gave them a quick wipe and wash. I didn't want to ruin them as I know sand can caused great problems with the wheels. I'm loving having the use of the Yo! once again :-)

My mum and I had my nephew today. We decided the 4 us would go to York to Monks Cross Shopping Centre, I took the Yo! along for Isabel to sit in as we walked around monks cross: so that we only had Harry to chase after. Isabel had her dinner in the yo, it is great to double up as a highchair, as the hughchairs in Asda were for older children! When the Yo! is fully sat up she can see everything and all the way round she pointed and shouted at things. It made a few people stare, I'm not sure if it was at Isabel shouting or the gorgeous pushchair....

Fun in the sun! We met up with a friend and her little boy 2day, we went to the farm. We got to see pigs, goats, ponies, chickens and cockerels. Isabel loved been able to see everything from the Yo! It was tricky to push on the grass due to the holes in the ground and long grass.

We went and sat on the benches and a massive cockerel came and joined us, I don't think Isabel was very happy with this. Luckily the Yo! could be positioned so the cockerel couldn't get to her. Over the last few days the large hood has come in useful to shield her from the sun.

July the 20th 2013

My mum and I took Isabel shopping today. We took the Yo! with us; we used the park and ride to get into the centre of York. I think this is the 1st time the Yo! has travelled on a bus (unless I have baby brain and already told you all about how the Yo! handles on the bus).
It fits really well in the designed space for pushchairs; there was still plenty of space to either stand next to it (if the bus is busy) or sit on the seats provided. It fitted in both ways (as shown on the pics). Isabel loved the trip on the bus and was trying to pull her self up from the Yo! using the bar! While on the bus I put the brake on to stop the yo from rolling around the bus. I forgot I had flip flops on and unfortunately the brake design is not suitable for bare feet. Its easy to put on, but impossible to pull it up with out hurting your feet while wearing flip flops. I had to use my hand to lift it up, as not to hurt my toes.
