Hi, My name is Amanda, I am 43 years old and live in the Sussex countryside with Simon, my partner of 14 years my fabulous son Ethan;9 months, 2 horses & chickens. We both work full time as surveyors, which is how we met over 17 years ago. I do a lot of travelling with my job, unfortunately in the UK not the Caribbean - we also like to travel abroad whenever we get chance. I am really looking forward to living with the Snooze Shade Plus Deluxe as it looks perfect for shielding Ethan from the sun and helping him sleep on the beach.

First Impressions
The arrival of the Snoozeshade was really exciting as i had been bombarded with texts and emails from the courier notifying me of its arrival down to the last 60 minutes. When the doorbell went for some reason i was expecting a large box instead of the small bag he had, and found it suprisingly light. I was really pleasantly suprised when i ripped open the bag as it was so much smaller than lighter than i was expecting. As i am predominantley interested in the Snoozeshade for travelling it was perfect. I opened the zip up bag to find an inner net bag with draw string which will be great to chuck in my suitcase.I have not tried the Snoozeshade on the pushchair as yet as my little boy is at Nursery, but have had a good look at all of the zips, poppers and material. All seems excellent quality, especially the zips which have good strong pull tabs. I cant wait to get testing!

I tried the Snoozeshade on my Quinny Zapp today in anticipation for holiday. Sorry to say it didnt really work. The Snoozeshade works on the basis that it attaches around the frame of the pushchair with velcro/poppers. I hadnt really noticed before but the Zapp is unlike most in that the seat panel wraps around the frame, so there was hardly any parts of the frame you could attach it to. After a few minutes of Ethan kicking it came away from the bottom of the pushchair and started rolling up. Not sure what i can do to fix it as longer straps wont help.

Finally got chance to try out the Snoozeshade in some real sun today as we are on holiday in Vietnam. As you can probably see from the pictures Ethan was not that keen on being zipped in! The snooze shade did its job though and he soon fell asleep. Tomorrow I will try putting the shade on after he has gone to sleep as I won't have to go through five minutes of trying to rip it off.

I have been using the SnoozeShade very successfully every day since we got to the beach in Phu Quoc. My only complaint is that it does get very hot inside but I've got round it by waiting til Ethan is nearly asleep and then closing it. As the pushchair I have doesn't have a hood it has a gap at the top to let air in. I haven't been attaching the bottom straps so he gets a bit of breeze and it's been working well, in fact he had a two hour nap in it this morning and I actually got to read my book in peace!
Not much chance to go out and about with the Snoozeshade this week as it still has not stopped raining! Have had a chance to use indoors however with a pushchair with a hood, it fits tons better with the hood up and keeps the shade nicely off Ethan's face. There is plenty of room inside with the hood up and all the straps fitted the chair snugly. Just hope the rain stops so I can get out and about again without a rain cover.

Hurrah! Its finally stopped raining and I got chance to take the pushchair out today, i put the Snoozeshade on as not only was it sunny but Ethan had not had his morning nap. He fell asleep in the car, so I managed to get him into the pushchair and zip up the Snoozeshade before he woke up. It worked well, and despite going in and out of shops, talking to people & a lot of stopping and starting he stayed asleep. When he did wake I could just unzip and pass him his beaker without a fuss. Definitely recommended whilst out shopping.

The Snoozeshade has really come in handy this week as its my little boys first birthday. We were out and about visiting relatives and you could see he was getting more and more tired but didn't want to give in. I put him in the buggy, zipped up the Snoozeshade, had a quick walk around the block and he was fast asleep. It was great as he wouldn't normally have slept with all the excitement that was going on. Another thumbs up for the Snoozeshade.
Having used the Snoozeshade for the past few
months both at home and abroad, I have been really impressed with it. The
Snoozeshade is perfect for us as we travel a lot, but it worked just as
well when shopping or visiting friends as it shields your baby from noise and
light. Its great in the cold and wind too as keeps the warmth in.
I really like the fact that it has both
the zip opening front and the thinner zip opening mesh so that my son can
see outside and I can easily pass drinks etc through without totally opening
it. We took it to Asia where it has really high humidity and it did get very
hot inside so you need that ability to open up and let air in, however it
really gave me peace of mind when we were out in the sun. I still used sun
lotion but I was far less worried about my son getting burnt.
It's is not something I would have immediately
thought of buying but having tried it I would recommend it to anyone with a
young baby or toddler.
