The Gro Company, makers of the original Grobag baby sleep bags, are on a mission to help parents combat cold winter nights. As part of their Autumn Winter 2012 range they’ve added the Gro-suit and Winter Warmer Grobag both of which are to be used in colder winter temperatures. Continue reading
Fiona reviews the Cosatto Travel Cot for us…..
‘It’s common knowledge now that I like funky cool stuff for my kids. I’ve got two boys – so I don’t get to buy ‘pretty’ things really. So this means I love brands that make funky stuff in a boy option – Cosatto are a great brand for doing this. One of the lovely things they make with quirky styling is their Moon Unit Travel Cot, it’s available in ‘oh so pretty’ and ‘Little Monster’.
It may seem an odd time of year to be talking about UV suits – but having holidayed in the Winter last year, I have first-hand experience of trying to source and purchase UV suits for my boys when they are not available on the high street. The answer comes in the form of Sunproof, who stock a wide range of suits 52 weeks of the year. I was asked to review some of their range whilst on holiday, so two weeks of sun, sea and sand really put the outfits through their paces!
Yet another review to help parent’s make informed choices. This time from Vital Baby who have offered their new feeding bottles for us to review. Vital market their ‘Nurture Breast-like Bottles’ range as being ‘specially designed with the most natural shaped, super-soft and flexible teat to mimic mum’s breast and natural breastfeeding action’. Mother to 9 week old Layla, Chantelle Hazelden has joined our team at Pushchair Trader to review products for the under one’s….and she put them to the test!
The feeling of being overwhelmed, nervous and scared may well be very familiar to new parents and in a new survey of 2,000 UK parents by Munchkin to celebrate the launch of the new Click Lock™ range of cups, the international baby brand polled parents and confirmed that it can actually take them up to two years to get to grips with parenthood. The poll also showed that 58% of mothers feared they would never get to grips with it and two thirds even stated it also takes dad a long time to adjust to their new role.
We asked mother of two, Suzie Kettle from Lincolnshire, to review the new Baroo Nursing pillow from Tippitoes. The range from Tippitoes has been growing and the Baroo Nursing pillow, priced at £19.99 is just one of their latest additions. Suzie is an experienced Mum, having Flynn who is 4 years old and new addition to their family, baby Willow. Here are her thoughts :-
One of the many things I love about time outdoors is the ease of filling your senses. From little bugs to grand mountains, there is lots to see – and if you’re moving, there’s also a constant shift in what you see. Then there’s the sounds of birds, bleating sheep, silence, maybe the wind and rain hammering on your waterproofs…There’s the smells of hillside bracken, coconutty gorse bushes and horse poop…The feel of the air and of walking, maybe the taste of a nice packed lunch or little nibble of chocolate.
Being a parent, it’s a joy with plenty of smiles and laughter but it can also be a challenge and a worrying time too. The need to constantly watch your child and have eyes in the back of your head to watch what they are up to as well as having a million other things to do can be a lot of pressure. Has it all got too much?
Earlier on in the year, I was lucky enough to go on holiday with my family and parents – it was the first ‘big’ holiday we had had since having the children and their first experience of ‘real sunshine’ – pretty sure that we haven’t seen any since! We were jetting off to the Caribbean – a holiday of a lifetime and boy were we excited! This is the first of two articles reviewing UV wear from two different manufacturers. The backdrop is the amazing Cotton Bay in St Lucia – THE most child friendly and parent friendly resort I have ever visited. Continue reading
